This year all the special area teachers will be using Class Dojo to track student behavior throughout the week. Watch the video below to find out more about how it works!
Class Dojo Usage Guidelines
During all special area classes students will have the opportunity to earn Dojo Points. If a student has a good class they will automatically earn a point. If a student has to be spoken to during class and given more than one reminder about their behavior they will not earn a point for that class. If a student continues to misbehave or has extreme misbehavior they will lose point.
Earning Points - Students may earn a point for any of the following reasons:
· Following directions and participating in class
· Going above and beyond and exceeding expectations
· Transitioning quietly in the hallway between classes
· Having great behavior during breakfast or lunch
Losing Points - Students may lose a point for any of the following reasons:
· Disrespecting others
· Disrespecting school property
· Being off task during class
· Talking out of turn
· Being uncooperative
· Misbehaving during breakfast or lunch
*In general points are not taken away until multiple warnings and reminders have been given to a student, allowing them the opportunity to correct their behavior. If the behavior continues, then points are deducted*
